04/10/2018 - Coastal Management Act Consent

The Port of Hastings Development Authority has received consent for use and development of coastal Crown land from the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning to commence work remediating Crib Point Berth No.2.

26/04/2018  - Crib Point Jetty Remediation

The Port of Hastings Development Authority is preparing to commence remediation works on Berth 2 at the southern end of the Crib Point Jetty.  The work is being undertaken now to ensure Berth 2 is ready in time for the AGL Gas Import Jetty project, should the project proceed.  If AGL does not proceed with the project, Berth 2 will be available for use by other port users.

Works at the site will include:

  • Establishment of a site compound;

  • Securing the site with new fencing;

  • Some vegetation clearing;

  • Repairs to concrete on the jetty, pylons, mooring dolphins and pipe racks; and 

  • Replacement of the Pier head.

Residents can expect to see an increase in vehicle movements along The Esplanade during these works. Construction activities will occur between:

  • Monday to Friday - 7am to 6pm; and

  • Saturday - 7am to 1pm.
